Process Management
What is it?
This is a consultancy exercise to map and document your business process(es), and re-creating them in an electronic tool; Souter Consulting would also help you manage the people change involved.
You’ll probably have noticed this is very similar to ‘SharePoint & Process management’, but this offering uses standalone workflow tools; it is also connected with ‘Business mashups’.
Why do it?
Similar reasons as above, but without SharePoint in your infrastructure, i.e.:
Standard execution of key business processes, time after time – helping to ensure consistent customer service.
Save money and time through using appropriate technology
Technology provides extensive management information to track the overarching process itself, and the progress of individual tasks – helping to track any issues as might occur and speedily rectify them.
Processes are easier to rework, giving rise to continuous process improvement opportunities through simulation and what-if testing, so saving time and money and helping to minimise implementation risk.
