What is it?
This service offering is based on stand-alone EDRM products, rather than using MOSS as the interface.
It offers customers assistance with EDRM-related:
- Business case preparation
- Procurement
- Information Architecture (as per paragraph 3.12 above)
- Regulatory compliance
- (High level) Integration / architecture – although not at a technical level
Why do it?
EDRM tools essentially provide a place for all your electronic documentation, replacing storage of key documents on file servers, and managing the documentation so it is more easily found and shared.
As per the section on Records management above (c.f. paragraph 3.16 above on 7), records management is a recognised and legally-admissible way of keeping electronic records.
