What we do
We help our customers get the most from their technology investments – what we call ‘business improvement through technology’ (BITT).
Our background
Working in the technology industry for over a dozen years, we’ve seen tech fads come and go, although a few have actually come to pass!
Starting off by providing desktop support and software training to a small Trade Union, Justin gained his spurs at a large IT outsourcing firm, where he passed six exams and gained a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer qualification in 1999.
This was followed by assignments at a number of large Government clients, where he made the transition to a business consultant – i.e. being responsible for the people, service, and process change alongside the technology implementation itself.
Justin worked in Fujitsu Services’ knowledge management practice for five years, which brought him work in making the most from what people know, and the information they have to hand – i.e. from sharing it.*
As a ‘subject matter expert’, he is now transitioning to running a business and focusing less on the whiz bang and more on the “right, that makes sense – we could use that!”. For further information, please see page ‘Our Consultancy skills’.
Our offerings
What we do is broken down into three parts:
- Social Media – we help you reach new demographics, communicate with your stakeholders, and manage your reputation in this new channel.
- Product explanation – We will work alongside you to make the most of the information management and collaboration technology you do have, and also help you configure the tools you do have to match your business requirements.
- Service exploitation – many organisations that implement change – any change – often find it difficult to get proper value for money. SCL can help overcome this by managing the business change, guiding you through a procurement exercise, and working with both your business and technology decision makers.
