Introduction

Justin worked for 12 months on Fujitsu solution to help tackle the Regulatory and Compliance changes faced by commercial organisations in the post-Enron world.

Activities

  • This involved understanding electronic reporting by Banks, Mortgage lenders etc. to the Financial Services Authority (FSA).
  • Prior to this, he contributed to bids involving the use of eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL), a new standard to enable more efficient reporting in the Financial Sector.
  • This involved close working with Fujitsu Software, to put together an overall offering around Information Supply Chains.
  • Using XBRL, data warehousing and business intelligence, this solution could radically change the efficiency of complex financial payments systems / networks.

Outcomes / difference

  • Justin put together the bid that got Fujitsu Services on to the FSA’s preferred supplier list.
