Introduction

Our mission is to help you achieve business improvement, through technology.
Although we admit that, at times, we go all starry-eyed over a new gadget or an elegant piece of kit, what really excites us is how established technologies can be better used to achieve your business objectives, or how new approaches can unlock new possibilities – but in the most pain-free way possible.
Our phased approach
We typically work on a project basis with your customers, although sometimes we are retained over, say, six months to help with both tactics, as well as strategy.
We take a consultancy approach, and can carry this through to configuration of technical tools as appropriate (either internal or external / online ones). We’re don’t do technology design or roll-outs, but partner with others. Read more about our consultancy skills here.
We have a three stage process which we use on assignments:

Explore
Firstly, we listen. We sit down with you to find out more about your business, what you’re trying to achieve, what your headaches are, and identify some quick wins.
We’ll be happy to come and talk to you, without obligation, about how we can help.
Explain
Technology only works if people understand what it’s for, and why they should use it. Otherwise, they carry on doing the same old, same old.
We’ll move on from the exploration to an explanation of how new or existing tools can deliver business benefits. Our open and honest approach gives rise to a dialogue designed to help your particular ‘penny’ drop.
Exploit
We come from a background of implementing technologies to help people collaborate with one another, to share information and thereby raise performance.
We’ll come up with some fresh ideas so you can get more for your technology money. With over a dozen years working on both the tech and people sides of the industry, we’ve got a strategic view which we believe can really make a difference. See our case studies and testimonials for more information.
Partnering
Building a scalable business is a challenge, and our preferable route for the foreseeable future is to partner with others – e.g. Vector 76 for virtual world builds.
We believe we’re complementary to most systems integrators, and we’re also interested in talking with cloud computing players. Our goal is to add value to mainstream offerings: we believe there is an emerging space between bespoke software and the COTS variety, and that our softer, business, skills can really help customers make the most of ‘vanilla’ technical implementations.

When we’re in the ‘explore’ phase, we’ll decide together what sort of assistance you need, and the commercial basis on which we’ll go forward.
Typically we’re happy to give ad hoc advice for free, but usually our goal is to get you standing on your own feet – through training and mentoring. We can provide entry-level expertise, through to advanced techniques.
