[...] Justin Souter was gracious about my Please – don’t do this post. There’s a lesson for us all in there. If you work your ass off trying to do something, polish it like crazy and it gets put down – stand back, listen and perhaps learn. Sometimes I think we’re crap at that, me included. Who wants to lose? No-one. [...]

Phil - thanks, excellent points. Was wondering whether you agree with Dennis Howlett? I'm thinking specifically about the point re pitching it right for the audience...

Thanks Justin,

I had a read through your presentation and think you have covered alot of the angles for soemone who doesnt know much about it.

I think that Penny Power's book ( Know Me, Follow Me, Like Me ) is worth a mention as further reading, I did a review on Amazon on it, mainly from the point of view that it goes to the heart of why do it.

If you come from the "intention" just to get business, then its more difficult to take part ( IMHO ), if you come from the intention of sharing, helping, community etc.. then whilst business does come, its not the primary intention, and getting involved has more meaning.

This in itself is a difficult change of perspective, and takes ome time, for me I think its only just started really....

Look forward to seeing the presentation recording, if there is one !
