DESCRIPTION

Spore took the concept of creating and sharing User-Generated Content in video games a step farther than any other game. The creation of multiple in-game editors that were easy (and fun) to use and the sharing of the resulting creativity via a social networking model had unique challenges. The team behind the networked features had to be flexible and iterative to modify the sharing, searching and ratings system in order to surface the best stuff and inspire continued growth for the community. In this talk, Caryl will describe the systems and the inspiration behind them – and show some of the coolest stuff made by the community.
