Souter Consulting – progress to date

Quick round-up of what I’ve been doing since F Day (F for Freedom), this past 1st October [in no particular order]:

  • Software
    • I’m trialling:
      • MS Accounting Express
      • With Outlook
        • Microsoft Business Contact Manager
        • Outlook Connector for Hotmail accounts
        • Googlemail seems to work as a normal mail account – although I think it’s POP3, rather than IMAP
        • I’ve given up on Zoho for CRM, as BCM is integrated with Outlook
    • Live Mesh
      • Synchronising home PC and laptop files
      • Looks good, after some teething issues
    • Google calendar
      • So I can sync machines
    • Google Chrome, of course
  • Domains
    • Buying domains
    • Setting up various forwards, redirections etc.
  • Website
    • I’ve set up WordPress on http://justingsouter.eu
    • Updating profile on LinkedIn etc.
  • Business cards
    • Great stuff from Moo.com
• Marketing
  • Via my blog and personal network
  • Codeworks website – have set up a profile and need to upload case studies
• Business strategy
  • Looking to set up Souter Consulting Limited
• Networking
  • Attending meetings of:
    • Codeworks
    • First Wednesday
    • The Bridge Club
• Delivery
  • Animmersion
• Mentoring from:
  • Don Pinchbeck
  • David Cooke
• Pipeline
  • Had an interview with FTSE 100 Company for Social media opportunity last week

  • No slide decks as yet [Shurely shome mishtake – Ed.?]

<Phew> – well, it seems that way! ;-)
